Spoilers for "Scandal" Season 6 have been trying to speculate about who could be the assassin of Frankie Vargas for some time now. Also, the latest spoiler teases on the possibility of Olivia and Jake's future.

"Scandal" Season 6: Jake And Olivia Can Come Closer

Incidentally, Scott Foley, the actor who is cast in the role of Jake Ballard in the series, spoke to some outlets on what path his character will take in the current series. Viewers saw Jake getting married to Vanessa (Joelle Carter) in "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 18.

There were some fans who weren't in favor of an alliance between Jake and Olivia (Kerry Washington). For them, it appeared to be a good riddance.

Though, there are many fans of Jake and Olivia who were saddened when the two did not end up together. But now, there could still be some hope for this pair, as Foley said that there is still a possibility of a romantic reunion between these two characters in the near future, TVLine reported.

Although, considering the way the show's storyline is progressing currently, it does not seem likely that such a union will take place right now. So, viewers may just have to wait and see what is in store for the characters in the future.

"Scandal" Season 6: Jake's Disappearing Act

Apart from sharing some important details about Jake's mushy reunion with Olivia, Foley also shared how his character could be potentially involved with Frankie Vargas' (Ricardo Chavira) assassination. According to Entertainment Weekly, "Scandal" Season 6 will eventually address the "disappearing act" of Jake on election night.

Viewers will definitely recollect that Jake simply vanished from the campaign headquarters in the premiere episode. So, Jake will not be accounted for a specific time period. Luckily for viewers, the show will consider the missing time frame of this character.

Is it possible that Jake had a hand in Vargas' murder!? Tune in to ABC every Thursday to watch "Scandal" Season 6.
