Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced Thursday on his Facebook page that his wife, Priscilla Chan, is pregnant with a baby girl.

Zuckerberg and Chan, both 32, are expecting another child after their 15-month old daughter, Max. The news, Mark said, was a joy, since they always had this fear of not having another child. Priscilla had three miscarriages prior to having Max which he also quoted as a "difficult pregnancy".

Zuckerberg wrote on his Facebook page that when they found out that her wife was pregnant, they hoped that it would be healthy given the previous circumstances that they have experienced with conceiving a child. Mark also said that he hoped that it would be a girl because it would be a delight in their heart to see their daughter grow up with a sister just like how he and Priscilla did.

The announcement was made a day after the celebration of the International Women's Day and Zuckerberg reiterated in his post how a woman's influence can change the world and the people around them, the Mail Online reports.

Mark also added that without his sisters, and Priscilla's too, they will not be able to see in perspective the beauty of competition and the acceptance of defeat. The women in their lives empowered them to become the person that they are today; successful in a sense, but humble.

The post also includes a throwback of pictures with him and his wife when they were younger, enjoying the company of their sisters. He points out that sisters aren't only sisters- they're close best friends, too.

According to the USA Today, Priscilla's first pregnancy was made known to the public in 2015 where the couple broke their silence regarding miscarriage which opened up for netizens to share their stories too about the same experience.
