Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will not host "Celebrity Apprentice" anymore. He blamed President Donald Trump for the recent poor performance of the television reality show.

Arnold Schwarzenegger said that he wouldn't mind working with producer Mark Burnett and NBC again. In his statement, he gave reasons for quitting and mentioned the "baggage" associated with the show and its connection to US President Donald Trump.

Arnold Schwarzenegger took the place of the president as the show's host but Donald Trump stayed as an executive producer. The President allegedly mocked Arnold Schwarzenegger publicly a couple of times for the recent poor performance of the reality show's ratings. He also mocked Arnold Schwarzenegger at the National Prayer Breakfast during an address, according to Vox.

Sponsors and viewers have reportedly deserted the show throughout the most current season. The finale season drew 3.45 million viewers, a .9 rating among the key 18 to 49 demo. This is a serious decline from the season finale of 2015, which brought a 1.7 ratings and 6.1 million viewers. As for Arnold Schwarzenegger, he blames the ratings plummet to President Donald Trump.

It looks like if ever Arnold Schwarzenegger would be asked to do it again, he would definitely say no. In his statement from an interview with Empire, he said that with the involvement of Donald Trump in the show, people had a bad taste. He also said that now is a very divisive period and he thought that the show got caught up in all the division, as stated in Orange County Register.

The show will not likely be back as it was before. Reportedly, ratings decreased enough that it is not worthy for NBC to put up with issues, while having the President involved. There are also some reports that the staff of the show have begun looking for other work.
