"Gotham City Sirens" isn't arriving anytime soon, but David Ayer is one excited director. He recently took to social media to hint at who will be the main bad guy in the highly anticipated Harley Quinn spin-off film from "Suicide Squad." Now that David Ayer may have revealed the upcoming Harley Quinn film's villain in a crytic tweet, does this mean that the script for the film is well on its way?

"Suicide Squad" was a hit when it was released last year, earning $745.6 million with a $175 million budget. While there are no names officially tied to the "Gotham City Sirens" franchise except for Margot Robbie, who is set to be the executive producer, and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, who serves as screenwriter, David Ayer is already hinting at developments in the film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Suicide Squad" director did not expound on his social media post. "Gotham City Sirens" is based on the comic book series of the same name that follows Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman in their Gotham City adventures. The movie is slated to begin filming this summer, but Warner Bros. has kept mum on its target release date.

Meanwhile, IGN reported that Black Mask first appeared in the comic book "Batman No. 386." He is a villain who enjoys collecting masks and is driven to obtain Batman's cowl. He is also known to be in conflict with Catwoman.
