The Life of David Cassidy Now

David Cassidy appeared in numerous stage shows after his profession as a solo singer declined. He portrayed an ageing ex-teen heartthrob in the short-lived 2009 TV sitcom "Ruby and the Rockits" and was on "Celebrity Apprentice" in 2011. He declared bankruptcy two years ago after being arrested thrice because of drunk driving. He also went to the rehab because of alcohol addiction.

At the age of 66, the singer is still doing some singing gigs in the country, but in the latest news, reported by Express, the veteran singer-actor revealed that he is fighting dementia. He opened up about his private strife days after he was seen distorting his statements at a show. The legendary star admitted he "always knew this was coming", as his mom fought the same ailment up until her demise at the age 89 he had some relatives who also suffered from dementia.

In another report from The Guardian, David Cassidy stated that he was in denial at first about this illness but he expected that this will happen to him as he grows older. According to him, he had to stop traveling and accepting shows for a while to concentrate on his health.
