According to TVLine, the tentatively titled "Mayans MC" spinoff has found a lead in Edward James Olmos, who previously starred in "Dexter," Battlestar Galactica," and "Blade Runner." The Academy Award-nominated actor will be playing Felipe Reyes, the father of EZ Reyes, a "prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the Cali/Mexi border who struggles with his desire for vengeance against the cartel."

As "Mayans MC" spinoff finds lead in "Dexter" star Edward James Olmos, the actor will play the Reyes patriarch who struggles with the secrets of his past and is determined to lead his sons in the right path. There's no other casting details besides Olmos' involvement in the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff. However, creator Kurt Sutter is known to be involved in the pilot script together with Elgin James, who will be helming the series.

According to GameSpot, the "Mayans MC" spinoff of "Sons of Anarchy" will be a "dark, visceral family drama," which will take place in a world without Jax Teller. The series got its title from the Mayans Motorcycle Club, which played a significant role in "Sons of Anarchy." The club was led by Marcus Alvarez (Emilio Rivera), but as of now, the actor has not confirmed his involvement with "Mayans MC."
