The second half of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is finally set to premiere and people are already looking forward to seeing Rick Grimes take on Negan when the series returns. However, it looks like Andrew Lincoln isn't quite sure that his character will immediately kill the villain in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 9. There is even a possibility that Negan's death will not be the highlight of the impending season finale.

Fans are undoubtedly hoping that Rick Grimes will avenge the deaths of Glenn Rhee and Abraham Ford after the "TWD" Season 7 mid-season premiere. However, comic book readers will be quick to point out that Rick decides to imprison Negan to try and rehabilitate the villain. But is it possible that the AMC series will take a different direction from the comics? Andrew Lincoln thinks that Rick might want to kill Negan in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale, but there is still a possibility that Jeffrey Dean Morgan's baddie will end up in a jail cell.

Andrew Lincoln recently spoke to ComicBook, where the star of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 admitted that Rick Grimes has "a long way to go" before the character could "come to that conclusion." However, Lincoln added that "a jail cell" might not be what Rick wants for the villain. "I think he wants to kick his ass," the actor stated of his character. So does this mean Rick will kill Negan in the season finale?

There are speculations that "The Walking Dead" Season 7 might want to hold on to Jeffrey Dean Morgan for as long as possible, which means that Negan could survive for yet another season. Allthough it seems that Rick Grimes will decide to immediately eliminate the villain in the season finale, Negan might end up in Morgan's jail cell after all. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 9 will premiere on AMC on February 12.
