'Limitless' Season 2 News & Update: Plot For Sequel May Be Enough For Renewal, Fans Remain Hopeful

Before "Limitless" was cancelled, the show's producer already had a concept for "Limitless" Season 2. After seeing the idea for the supposed sequel of the CBS show, fans believe that it would have been enough for a renewal.

The "Limitless" executive producer Craig Sweeny shared that "Limitless" Season 2 will still have NZT in the storyline, but it will not just focus on Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) this time like the first season, as reported by Cinemablend. "We do find a way for it to be Brian taking the NZT working with Rebecca (Jennifer Carpenter) and Boyle (Hill Harper)," Craig Sweeny shared.

"Limitless" tackles a controversial drug called NZT, which is believed to be the reason why Amazon and Netflix passed on the opportunity to stream the drama comedy television series to their services. Even with this concern, fans still believe that this "Limitless" Season 2 concept should be given a chance. When fans of a specific TV show want it to continue so bad, they will not stop until they get a renewal.

If the fate of "Limitless" Season 2 will only be based on the tremendous amount of support that it got, then a sequel will definitely be released soon. Unfortunately, that's not how things work. In order for "Limitless" Season 2 to be renewed, it should have a network or an outlet to stream the show. Sadly, two of the outlets that the sequel was shopped to didn't pick it up.

Fans even go as far as starting an online petition for "Limitless" Season 2. Although the support is overwhelming, their demand for a sequel is just falling on deaf ears. The "Limitless" producer has announced multiple times that there is absolutely no chance for "Limitless" Season 2. Are you still hoping for a "Limitless" Season 2?
