Nina Dobrev has finally confirmed her return to "The Vampire Diaries" season 8! Next episode's stills and teasers showed executive producer Kevin Williamson taking a selfie with Dobrev and Paul Wesley on the set of "TVD" last Friday.

It wasn't just executive producer Kevin Williamson who was seen taking a selfie with Nina Dobrev, TV Line reported. Fellow executive producer Julie Plec was also seen documenting Dobrev's return to "TVD." The series creator shared a dramatic shot of the last take of the series. The dramatic photo is also her farewell to both Caroline's house and Damon's bedroom as the two productions scenes have seen their last action for the series, TV Guide added. On Thursday last week, Dobrev confirmed the anxious speculations of her return to "TVD" when she posted a picture of her script for the series finale.

Executive producer Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson also announced Nina Dobrev's return to "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 in a statement released last week. Plec is particularly excited that the series will be ending just the way it was intended to be. Fellow executive producer Williamson also echoed the same sentiments, promising that the finale episode will be truly epic.

While Nina Dobrev is seen regularly in flashbacks for the entire season 8, the management nor the actress hasn't confirmed her return until now. All the fans knew was that she recorded a fresh audio for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. Julie Plec previously told the online publication that Dobrev decided to do the vocal recording in person. Apart from her anticipated return, Dobrev has kept herself busy landing roles in "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" and "Flatliners" as well as guest starring in the "Workaholics" final season.

After two seasons of absence, Nina Dobrev is returning in "The Vampire Dairies" season 8 finale, but it remains to be seen how would the actress make her return. Since Dobrev was seen alongside Paul Wesley, there were speculations saying that Stefan and Elena may just mark the ending of the series. However, other fans are hopeful that a Delena (Dobrev and ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder) will be featured instead.
