The upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" is set to be a ball, with characters from different Marvel films gracing the screen with their presence. It's assumed to be a collaboration between several of the heroes we've all gotten to know over the past few years, as well as the new ones we are yet to encounter. That's why it doesn't come as a surprise that "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" newcomer Pom Klementiff added to cast as Mantis.

The news came via Entertainment Weekly, which reported that production has begun for the highly anticipated "Avengers: Infinity War." With it came the news that "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" newcomer Pom Klementiff added to cast as Mantis. Klementiff's Mantis will be first introduced this May, when "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" hits theaters.

The actress as Mantis shared some funny screen time with Chris Pratt's Star-Lord in the first trailer for the movie, which you can see below. According to Comic Book, the announcement of "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" newcomer Pom Klementiff added to cast as Mantis was made on Facebook. The actress posted a photo of herself wearing a beanie with the "Avengers: Infinity War" brand on it.

This may not have come as a surprise to her fans, as she previously shared an image of the comic book, "The Avengers #123." The comic book cover featured her character, Mantis, alongside Thor, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Black Panther. As "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" newcomer Pom Klementiff added to cast as Mantis, she will also star in the "Awesome Mixtape #2" of the "Guardians" franchise this May.

The film brings back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel in leading roles, as well as Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, and Sean Gunn as supporting characters. "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is directed once again by James Gunn and is set to hit theaters on May 5.
