Dell has unveiled a new batch of devices for the consumer electronics market made up of laptops and monitors. The new devices are designed for educational institutions, all shown off at the BETT Show held in London. Known for their niche in the laptop industry, new convertible laptops will be available to consumers once they hit the market next month.

Dell has three new convertible laptops set to come out in February. This includes the Dell Latitude 11 Convertible 3189 which will include a Productivity Active Pen. The other one up for release is the Chromebook 11 Convertible 3189 which carries fairly similar specs as the Dell Latitude 11 Convertible 3189. This includes both laptops toting an 11-inch display backed by Corning Concore and Gorilla Glass NBT.

There will be slight differences in the processors with the Dell Latitude 11 Convertible 3189 making use of Intel Celeron and Pentium SoCs. The Chromebook will rely on sixth-gen Celeron chips. Aside from the two convertible units, there are the standard laptops joining them. These will be the Chromebook 11 and Dell Latitude 11 sporting the same 11-inch displays.

The units will include sealed keyboards, secure keys, an 180-degree hinge with processor options similar to the convertible models. For those who are not too keen with the smaller screens on the Dell Latitude 11, there are 13-inch models available as well. These would be the Dell Latitude 13 and the Dell Chromebook 13 which offer a choice between Core i3/ i5 chipsets, per Dell.

Aside from laptops, there will also be large display monitors that should come in handy for the business and education sectors. These are the 86-inch (C8619QT) and 55-inch (C5518QT) Interactive Touch monitors which will pick off from the launch of the 70-inch 1080p display previous offered.

Each monitor comes with 20 touch points, InGlass touch technology, passive styli and anti-smudge, designed to fare well with the Dell Wireless module and Dell OptiPlex Micro desktop. The monitors are quite pricey with availability expected on Mar. 30, Slash Gear reported.
