'Rick And Morty' Season 3 Air Date, Episode Count Still Unconfirmed Due To Dan Harmon, Justin Roiland Creative Clash

People have been waiting for the third season of "Rick and Morty" for such a long time that any update about the Adult Swim animated series is a welcome one. Co-creator Dan Harmon has finally spoken up about the delay of the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 air date, and it looks like he is uncertain of when the show will be completed.

But what exactly is causing the delay in the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 air date? Dan Harmon says it's his fault because he and co-creator Justin Roiland have been arguing about the new season of the Adult Swim series, which might also affect the show's number of episodes. Could the third season get limited down to only 10 episodes?

Dan Harmon recently attended the Sundance Film Festival, where he announced that he still cannot confirm the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 air date (via IndieWire). The show's co-creator stated that the new season have been delayed indefinitely because he and Justin Roiland can't seem to stop fighting. "We have fights about why we're having fights," Harmon said.

On a serious note, Dan Harmon revealed that the new episodes of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 are "taking longer and longer to write" but he is uncertain why this is happening. It certainly sounds like fans will have to wait a bit longer before an actual air date and episode count will be announced.

The third season of "Rick and Morty" was initially expected to premiere by the end of 2016 following Dan Harmon's announcement that they are planning to debut 14 new episodes that will continue to follow the heroes on numerous epic adventures. Adult Swim has not yet confirmed the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 air date nor the number of episodes that will be released. Hopefully, the animated series will return later this year.
