Whispers and speculations regarding the launch of the much-awaited Robert Downey Jr. solo movie have been making its rounds on the Internet and fans are taking it upon themselves to figure out what's going on.

"Iron Man 4" has definitely maintained its mystery. As if the lack of updates is not enough, Robert Downey Jr. is confusing fans with his interviews. One minute he confirms "Iron Man 4" is totally happening, the next minute he's giving fans the reason to doubt that it will ever happen.

It's no secret that Robert Downey Jr. is born to be Iron Man and there is no better actor to portray the role in "Iron Man 4" if Robert Downey Jr. decides to not be a part of the fourth installment. But multiple reports claimed that Robert Downey Jr. is ready to hang up his famous red suit. "I don't think that's in the cards," the 51-year-old actor said in an interview, as reported by Movie Web. "In a way it's Cap 3 but for me it's like my little Iron Man 4."

Rumor has it that "Iron Man 4" may hit the big screen in 2020. Marvel Studios has three movies slated on 2020 but the studio opted to leave the titles unknown for now. Many believed that one of those three untitled Marvel Studios films may be "Iron Man 4." Marvel Studios did confirm that "Ant-Man and the Wasp," and "Black Panther" will debut on 2018 and "Captain Marvel" on 2019.
