"NBA 2K18" is still a long way off with the game not expected until September. However, the game title suddenly cropped up recently when Nintendo held a live stream event for the Nintendo Switch. Curiously, "NBA 2K18" was among the games revealed which some feel came a bit premature.

Normally, 2K Sports announces the release date of its versions for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. With the Nintendo Switch technically a new player in the mix, many speculate that it could be an exclusive. But then again, such would gain the ire of gamers playing the game via current and available game consoles. A safe bet is that the Nintendo Switch will be integrated among the mix of consoles where "NBA 2K18" would be playable.

A look at the Nintendo website will show the inclusion of "NBA 2K18" in the game roster. It should be noted that 2K Sports always has a Nintendo game console version, so the inclusion may have been done in advance. The Japanese company is unlikely to have struck a deal with 2K Sports seeing how the profits would be affected by the mix. The last "NBA 2K" game to come to Nintendo was "NBA 2K13" for the Wii U.

Either way, there is an "NBA 2K18" expected this year, regardless of console preference. Outside the game version, the improvements that 2K sports would do for the game is what most want to learn more about. Based on the listing, "NBA 2K18" will continue the usual features such as MyCharacter, MyPlayer, MyTeam, My League and MyGm modes, IGN reported. Depending on how avid one is, these should keep them busy following its September release.

Graphics and gameplay are two other departments most would want to know about. "NBA 2K17" did work extensively last time out with DLCs perking up the content side of the current version. Gameplay was made harder with 2K Sports, making it as realistic as possible. So will things get tougher once NBA "2K18" is ready for release?
