It's no secret that the highly anticipated sequel of "Deadpool" will feature Wade Wilson's long-time BFF Cable, and fans are already looking forward to see Wade Wilson set out on an adventure with Nathan Summers. However, there are speculations that the X-Force leader will appear in more than just "Deadpool 2"? Some believe that Cable's complicated origin story will need to be covered in yet another "X-Men" film.

Almost every Marvel character has a complicated backstory, but Cable certainly has an origin story that could fill up a massive autobiography. "Deadpool 2" is already expected to touch upon Nathan Summers' origin story, but fans also believe there is a good chance that his history could spill on to more "X-Men" movies after the Ryan Reynolds film.

"Deadpool 2" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick recently spoke to Collider, where they discussed how they will deal with the daunting task of telling Cable's backstory. Their solution? The Ryan Reynold film will not delve too much into Nathan Summers' background and will instead "distill him down to his essence." However, there is still hope that people will learn more about Wade Wilson's BFF in future "X-Men" films.

Fans have their own speculations on how "Deadpool 2" will deal with Cable's sometimes confusing origin story, from making Ryan Reynolds' character dragging out a flipchart in the middle of a fight to having the two antiheroes discuss it in a cafe. However, it is also possible that the sequel will only introduce Nathan Summers and his backstory will gradually be unfolded in the next "X-Men" movie.

For the uninitiated, Cable is the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey's clone who was sent into the future as a child and returned to the present to help mutants. The "Deadpool 2" release date has not yet been announced but fans are hoping that the Ryan Reynolds film will premiere sometime in 2018.
