Fans have been long waiting for the release of George R.R. Martin's "The Winds of Winter," thus they have been asking the author on his blog post. Surprisingly, the 68-year-old novelist answered his fan and revealed details about the much-awaited book on Tuesday.

The fan commented on Martin's lengthy post about doom, despair and defeat. The follower has a name of J Snow and started with giving respect to the short-story writer adding that he didn't want him to "rush or release anything" until he is completely satisfied with his works. However, he reminded him that it has been one whole year since they gave him an update about "The Winds of Winter."

Although J Snow gave him his gratitude for giving them a glimpse of "The Winds of Winter" will contain, he was asking for another update about the book if he doesn't want to receive a lot of messages like his. To his surprise, Martin replied to his comment revealing that he is done yet but already made some developments. Then again, the screenwriter admitted that his progress is not what he expects as he thinks that he should be finished by now.

Although Martin revealed that "The Winds of Winter" might be released this year (2017), he added that it is the same statement and prediction he said last year (2016). To recall, he previously confessed that he is having a hard time finishing the sixth novel of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. In fact, he disclosed that he "always had problems with deadlines," Telegraph reported.

Martin went on to explain that he would find himself not satisfied with what he wrote and would do another revise. Suddenly, he didn't notice that the time is running and it is already 2017. When the assumptions swirl that he can't finish "The Winds of Winter" on time, he feels the pressure that makes him struggling to write even more. "The fewer the days, the greater the stress, and the slower the pace of my writing became," he explained.
