Back in August 2015, Adult Swim's "Rick and Morty" was renewed for a third season. Recording for "Rick and Morty" season 3 began in February last year, but until now, there's no official word on when the show will return on air. Thankfully, "Rick and Morty" season 3 creator Justin Roiland finally addressed rumors that the show would be returning soon.

Rumors of "Rick and Morty" season 3 premiering on January 9 began when IMDb indicated the date on the show's page. Fans tweeted at Roiland to confirm the date, but he confirmed that such rumors were not true.

For fans, the "Rick and Morty" season 3 news might be a letdown as they've been waiting for over a year for "Rick and Morty" season 3 to come. To ease your pain, though, fans of the show must know that there is an art show launching in Los Angeles this week, and fans can check out some great "Rick and Morty" inspired pieces at the show. Den of Geek reported that on January 13, Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles will be hosting a "Rick and Morty" art show beginning 7 p.m.

Fans of the show will get to see "Rick and Morty" themed artpieces during the two-hour event at Gallery1988. For those who won't be able to make it, however, worry not as the artwork that won't be picked up during the event will go on sale at gallery1988.com the following day. Check out the awesome pieces (below) that will be on display this Friday.

Again, fans must keep in mind that the "Rick and Morty" season 3 premiere isn't happening on January 9. Guess we'll just have to wait and see when Justin Roiland will actually announce the "Rick and Morty" season 3 premiere date -- which is hopefully sooner than later.
