As "Bones" Season 12 now starts, fans are all eager to know the future of Brennan (Emily Deschanel) in the hands of Zack (Eric Millegan). The show's premiere episode revealed that the young assistant is not the killer or the Puppeteer as many followers hope for.

On the launch of "Bones" Season 12, fans found out that Zack only kidnapped Brennan to save her from a great danger brought by the Puppeteer himself who happened to be Mihir Roshan (Ravi Kapoor). The show, too, opened with a lot of surprises as Jack's (T.J. Thyne) real health situation was revealed by, surprisingly, Zack. He confirmed that although Jack's legs still have feelings, he could never walk again.

Moreover, in spite of being thought as the bad guy, the role of the 42-year-old Millegan in "Bones" Season 12 positively retrieved himself. In fact, it is the show's co-showrunner Michael Peterson and his co-producers decision to not make him the baddie. He told TVLine that they adore the role of "The Phobic" actor and they don't want him to be remembered as the killer as the television series is about to end.

Moreover, Peterson also talked about the new serial killer lurking in "Bones" Season 12. This new villain will be seen in the show's fourth episode and would be far more different compared to its previous scoundrels. He described it to be "more action-oriented, more military-based" and wants to take its revenge to Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan.

Meanwhile, the first episode of "Bones" Season 12 titled "The Hope in the Horror" is the first directorial stint of its lead star Deschanel. His on-screen partner Boreanaz, on the other hand is going to direct the crime procedural drama's final episode, USA Today reported. The 40-year-old actress even revealed that she burst into tears when the "Angel" star told her that she's done filming.
