Just before the holidays, fans of Fifth Harmony were shocked to find out that their favorite band were no longer a five-piece. The band took to social media to announce that Camila Cabello has left the group, stating that it was her representatives who informed the now-foursome of her departure.

Now, Fifth Harmony shares first photo as foursome without former band member Camila Cabello. The new photo was posted on the band's official Twitter account, where they captioned it "Twenty Seventeen." Moving forward as a foursome, Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui intend to create more music as Fifth Harmony.

"We are excited for our future, and we can't wait for what the new year brings," the group wrote in a lengthy message via Instagram, E! Online reports. Fomer band member Camila Cabello fired back, saying that she did not in fact just send her representatives to deliver the message of her departure. She claimed that for a period of time, they as a band have been trying to patch things up and figure out how to move forward, to no avail.

According to People, the holidays were a bittersweet moment for fans, as they got to see Fifth Harmony perform one last time during NBC's "Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest." The performance, however, was pre-taped. The announcement of former band member Camila Cabello's departure went live on December 19. Fifth Harmony began as a five-piece back in 2012, when Simon Cowell put together the group as part of "The X Factor."

As a group of five, Fifth Harmony released two studio albums called "Reflection" (2015) and "7/27" released in May 2016. Former band member Camila Cabello has also moved on to pursue her solo singing career, recording "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendez and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly. Expect new music from the now four-piece Fifth Harmony this year.
