Here's some rather unfortunate news for fans of "Mass Effect Andromeda" who were hopeful that the game was heading to the upcoming Nintendo Switch. It's not going to happen. BioWare denies plans of bringing the game to Nintendo Switch just recently, killing all hopes for the action RPG to arrive on the latest video game console from Nintendo.

This is reported by GameSpot, which reveals how "Mass Effect Andromeda" producer Mike Gamble denies plans of bringing the game to Nintendo Switch. He did, however, say that BioWare isn't completely shutting down the idea. It's just that right now isn't the right time to do it. He shared that they would like to see gamers' demand with the Nintendo Switch first, and see if "Mass Effect Andromeda" gamers want it on the console.

According to IGN, EA did hint at one of their "bigger games" arriving to Nintendo Switch, and unfortunately, "Mass Effect Andromeda" isn't going to be that game. However, fans need not wait too long for the announcement of what EA game is arriving to the upcoming to Nintendo Switch.

On January 13, Nintendo will hold a Nintendo Direct broadcast, in which gamers expect to hear the announcement on what game is making its way to the Switch this year. Unfortunately, BioWare denies plans of bringing the game to Nintendo Switch, so "Mass Effect Andromeda" fans need to wait for further notice. Some are staying hopeful, however, as Gamble said, "We never want to close doors like that."

"Mass Effect Andromeda" is set for a spring 2017 arrival, while the Nintendo Switch is expected to arrive this March. To keep up with the latest in gaming and entertainment, make sure to bookmark this page.
