Update Date: Jan 02, 2017 09:11 PM EST

"Rick & Morty" season 3 fans were greatly disappointed when the year ended without any surprise premiere of their favorite Adult Swim show as previously promised. However, the creators swiftly reversed the situation and released a new sneak peek of the series, teasing fans the end for Rick.

Latest "Rick & Morty" season 3 spoilers suggest that it will premiere early this year as it failed to air as initially expected in December, Nerdist reported. Instead, Adult Swim finally released a sneak peek of the upcoming season just before the year ended. The third season debuted the sneak peek in a live stream broadcast between Gizmodo and Adult Swim. While the teaser is only half-done, the clip featured Justin Roland's voice, hinting that the sequence took place after last season's cliffhanger episode.

The video clip for "Rick & Morty" season 3 hilariously featured Rick blocking Morty's attempt to speak with the now single Jessica. This could be a positive especially after Morty inadvertently helped Rick destroy the humanity in their original reality. While it remains unknown how Rick escaped his intergalactic imprisonment or how the people on Earth broke away from the Galactic Federation control. However, this is just the start of all the hilarious events.

"Rick & Morty" season 3 will also see the lead characters in what could probably be a space-race insemination, which ended in a "Star Wars" riff. Fans will also see Morty think over his mad science adventures. For the first time, Rick looks shaken with their latest caper. Could this mean the end of Morty's adventure?

While "Rick & Morty" season 3 premiere remains unknown, the creators offered more details with Den of Geek. Co-creator Dan Harmon revealed that Rick and Morty will continue their adventures in Hawaii! Meanwhile, co-creator Justin Roiland added that there may be more Mr. Meeseeks and fan-favorite theme episodes! What else do you want to see in the forthcoming Adult Swim series?
