According to Engadget, Amazon is holding the first ever Digital Day in the hopes of replicating the success of Prime Day. Beginning 3 a.m. ET today, the e-commerce site is dropping prices up to 50 percent on games, movies, music, e-books, apps, and other digital media. Gamers will enjoy discounts on "Titanfall 2," "Destiny: Rise of Iron," and "Rocket League," among other games.

As per TechCrunch, there will be more than 1,000 digital content that will go on sale today for Amazon Digital Day. The timing could not be any more perfect, as many consumers are assumed to have purchased or gifted gadgets over the Christmas season. This is the perfect opportunity to hold a sale for those with shiny new consoles, smartphones, and other devices that need to be filled up with content such as "Titanfall 2," "Destiny: Rise of Iron," plus more games, movies, and the like.

Movies and TV shows will also go on sale for as much as 50% off, while music albums will also be sold for as low as $5. The Plex Pass annual subscription, which his a service for those who have extensive music libraries, will also go on sale for 50 percent off. On Amazon Digital Day, expect video game price tags to go as low as 80% off, with children's mobile games as low as $0.99.

These include 50% discounts on "Final Fantasy" titles 3, 4, 5, and 6, "Madden NFL 17" for PlayStation 4, and more. Gamers can get 33% o`ff "FIFA 17" as well.
