'Atlanta Hawks' Howard & LA Lakers' Heckler Squabble Filmed!

Update Date: Nov 29, 2016 05:59 AM EST

On Sunday Dwight Howard returned to his old stomping grounds in Los Angeles. The homecoming showed that there is no love lost between him and Lakers fans. The Atlanta hawks player had to be physically restrained away from a fan who cussed a word on him after the Lakers won with the score 109-94.

The TMZ Sport was able to capture a video of the said incident in which Dwight Howard challenge the fan to come back and say it. The basketball star scored 19 points, blocked two shots and grabbed nine rebounds as Atlanta lost for the fifth time in six games. This game was the hawks' only trip to play the Lakers this season.

Fans still jeered him throughout, which as a clear sign that they are still not over his unceremonious departure three-plus years later. During the offseason of 2012, the Lakers acquired Dwight Howard. This was a deal that coincided with the acquisition of Steve Nash and was seemingly made the team title favorites.

That same year ended with Bryant on the sidelines due to a ruptured Achilles and Howard was getting ejected as the San Antonio spurs was able to complete a  four-game-first-round sweep of the supposed super team. At that time Dwight Howard subsequently signed with the Houston Rockets wherein he spent the past three seasons before going to Atlanta this summer.

ESPN's Jackie Macmullan, was able to talk to Dwight Howard about his time in Los Angeles earlier this year. The player stated that he felt like he was not a part of the team. People were saying that he was strong that he is superman he should play through it, according to the player it as a torn labrum.

Howard left each of his three previous NBA stops under tense circumstances so it is hard to say that he is blameless in those situations. Yet, being relentlessly heckled for a situation that happened four seasons ago has to weigh on his shoulders.
