"Saturday Night Live" fans are up for some good news this December, as Emma Stone would be soon taking up anchoring duties for the famous show.

Stone, who has hosted the show three times previously, would be returning  as emcee on the late night weekend show on December 3, according to Entertainment Weekly. She will be joining with Shawn Mendes, the musical guest for the episode.

Notably, this will be Stone's third time as a host on "Saturday Night Live" after 2011. However, she has appeared a couple of times on SNL, the last being in 2014, with her then boyfriend and costar Andrew Garfield.

Incidentally, Stone has a busy December ahead. She will be starring in Ryan Gosling's "La La Land", which has been quite popular after its debut in the film festivals of Colorado, Venice, Telluride and Toronto.

It is believed that Stone might be a part of the Oscar nomination in January, and compete with Natalie Portman (for "Jackie"), for the position of best actress.

Meanwhile, this Wednesday SNL is scheduled to host its standard Thanksgiving, including Paul Simone's memorable 1976 "Still Crazy After All These Years", reported Deadline. It might also include Adam Sandler's classics and Ana Gasteyer's antics.

In other news, Stone has recently mentioned that she was jealous of Jennifer Lawrence's success, according to CBC News. She thought that Lawrence's positive and vibrant attitude would have a negative impact on her career.

However, she has moved on since then after remembering that everyone is different and there is room for everyone in the industry. According to her, now she and Lawrence loves each other and care about each other as people do.

According to the publication, the two of them texted each other every day for a year after they were introduced by Woody Harrelson, who has starred with both the actresses separately.
