Android 7.0 Nougat was announced on Jun 30, 2016 and officially released on August 22, 2016. As usual, Google smartphones (Nexuses) are the first ones to receive the new software update. Other android running smartphones are also getting the updates shortly.

As reported by Android Authority, the LG G5 is the first phone to get OTA update in South Korea, while Asia, Europe and the US will get it in the coming weeks. While Samsung S7 & S7 Edge are running with the Beta version of Nougat 7.0, LG G5 was not taken the Beta Version. Rather, LG has ready to release OTA update for the Nougat 7.0.

Many fans are still eagerly waiting for Nougat 7.0 update on their LG phones. LG usually receives Android updates ahead of other smartphones. LG G4 is the first phone to receive Marshmallow update last year as early as in October while customers of other brands are scrambling for OTA.

LG V20 is the first smartphone to be rolled out with Android Nougat 7.0 and it may be upgraded to Nougat 7.1; other LG smartphones are lined up for release. But, it is unlikely that LG G4, G5 and V10 models will be updated to Nougat 7.1 update, a little higher version than Nougat 7.0.

With all these incredible features, LG V20 would be a real game changer for which many eyes are locked in.
