DJI the best consumer drone has been tested. In fact, the DJI Phantom 4 is ready for an upgrade despite the fact that it is on sale since a year. The Phantom 4 Pro retains the same flight chassis and there is an addition of collision sensors and a camera.

According to reports from PC Magazine, it would be a huge upgrade expected to provide the best image and video quality that a drone cane deliver.

The Phantom 4 Pro is considered as the twin of Phantom 4.  It is a sleek white aircraft having aerodynamic lines, a study plastic exterior, and magnesium core. Its measurements are 7.0/11.5/11.5 inches (HWD) and it weighs around 3 pounds.

Its camera is stabilized by a 3-axis gimbal and it spots 1-inch image sensor. Its size is four times the size of the surface area. Hence images and videos have the potential to show more details. The field of view is slightly lower and its lens captures the equivalent of a 24mm prime.

You can record stills at 20MP resolution and the format can be JPG or Raw DNG. Video would be available at 4K quality at an ultra smooth 60fps. The camera also adds aperture control (f/2.8 through f/11). You can also see improvement in video bit rate. Now footage is compressed at 100Mbps while using an H265 compressor.

There is an increased battery capacity. The DJI can rate the Pro for an extra two minutes of flight time. Hence it is having the potential to fly for thirty minutes. In real world conditions, the Pro might fly for 25 minutes.

There is an addition of an identical pair sensor at the rear and vision and infrared sensors on the sides. Obstacles can be detected by the rear sensors up to 98 feet whereas the side sensors can detect obstacles up to 23 feet.

This device can fly up to 31mph and the obstacle avoidance is enabled. There is an addition of a clip on the remote control to hold your Smartphone or tablet. The phantom 4 Pro is priced at $1499 and it shall stat shipping from next week.
