WhatsApp Finally Adds The Feature OF Video Calling- How To Use It

It was speculated since long that WhatsApp is going to develop video calling feature. Good news is that this feature has already gone live on windows phone, iOS and Android phone.

You can use this service for free but you can face data charges which will depend on your phone network. On the other hand, you can perform video calls over Wi-Fi and it would be perfect for anyone with unlimited data plan.

If you wish to use this newly added feature simply enter into a conversation in the WhatsApp app, after that press the call button which is at the top right corner.

You will see a prompt that will let you choose video or voice calling. You will definitely hit video. Video calls are possible through both front and rear camera. There is also an option to hang up or mute the microphone.

The call recipient will be seen full size on the screen and there shall be a picture-in-picture pop up showing your own face on the display.

WhatsApp was launched in January 2010 but the voice calling feature was added earlier this year.  According to reports available from Trusted Reviews till June 2016, it was noticed that at least 100 million WhatsApp voice calls were made every day so the move to the video call is not at all surprising.

WhatsApp says that the company wishes to make such features available to everyone and not just those who own the costly Smartphone's or countries with best cellular networks.

Facebook owns WhatsApp, because of an acquisition in 2014 the chat app was snapped up by Zucker berg's social network for $19.3 billion.

Introduction of video calling will definitely provide Facebook an even better footing so that it could take on rivals like Microsoft (Skype), Apple (Face Time) and Google (Duo)
