The first hardware product named Spectacles was announced by Snapchat in September. This device is a set of glasses which is capable of recording 10 seconds of videos.  Hence it would be easy to create new memories.

Recently the company made an announcement stating that users can purchase a pair of spectacles from yellow vending machines termed as Snapbots. These yellow vending machines will be traveling around the world to sell the Snapchat glasses.

You can try these spectacles virtually via an AR display as Snapchat will dispense them in Black, Coral or Teal shades.

According to information available on IBTimes the company currently accepts credit or debit cards assuring that your $130 purchase is processed within 10 seconds.

It is very easy to trace Snapchat while using the locator tool on the company's website and you will be able to see a Snapbot near Venice in Oakwood. Company's HQ is located in this location. You have to be quick as the Snapbot stays in one location only for a day and it moves to different spots in a single day.

The spectacles are equipped with a 115-degree angle lens with each tab capable of recording 10 seconds video footage. When you wish to record simply press a button near the hinge. The lens of these spectacles was designed in a way to be wider than the Smartphone's camera which can closely mirror the natural view of human eyes.

Currently, the company has changed its name to Snap, Inc due to its expansion beyond the Snapchat app.

In comparison to Google glass and Google's wearable glasses, the Snapchat sunglasses are of economy rates. They are priced $129.99 whereas to purchase the Google glass you had to spend $1500 when these were first introduced in the market.

Currently, the company is considering the spectacles as a toy and they are trying to figure out whether these glasses fit into people's lives and do people like them.
