Naughty Dog's 'Uncharted' movie has been announced to start filming in the late spring, early summer of 2017. The Naughty Dog action-adventure game adaptation that follows the rogue Nathan Drake in his quest for legendary treasure has been creating a buzz lately revolving around the casting of Nathan Drake in the movie.

'Uncharted' will be directed by the 'Real Steel' director, Shawn Levy, who shared his super enthusiasm in directing the video game adaptation movie in an interview with Collider. He said that he is committed to directing the film, 'Uncharted,' and the work on it has already begun with him working on the script along with Joe Carnahan.

Levy said that he has been interested in the project for years and has played and loved every iteration of the game. He shared in the interview that 'Uncharted' video game is cinematic in that it's not only wildly visual but, it's really rooted in character and has a very specific tone and elements of fun to it.

Clearly, one of the biggest news item related to the video game adaption in 'Uncharted' is the casting of the main protagonist, Nathan Drake. According to Levy, he has seen overwhelming feedback from Twitter as fans have been vouching for their favorite actors to play the part of Nathan Drake in the movie version of 'Uncharted.'

"It's every actor who is ruggedly handsome, which is to say every movie star, and who looks anything like the square-jawed, chisel-featured Drake," Levy said in the interview, when asked about the casting of Nathan Drake.

Some of Drake-worthy suggestions made by fans on Twitter involved Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina), Chris Pratt (Jurassic World), Chris Pine (Star Trek Beyond), Chris Evans (Captain America) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game Of Thrones).

Responding to the suggestions and questions on casting on Drake, Levy shared at this point, the only conversations that are had are between the studio and producers, "talking about who feels right to us and to me." It is unclear as to which actor will play the coveted lead role of Nathan Drake.
