Pokemon fans are in for a treat. Junichi Masuda, the producer of Nintendo's Pokemon game franchise, has teased that there might be a possibility of future remakes of Pokemon titles. Masuda has teased the news in an interview, in which he stated that the company is looking forward to future remakes. This comes in accordance with Pokemon Red & Blue's huge success on the 3DS.

The Game Freak board member has shown interest in other old games of the Pokemon series. Since everyone seems to be releasing a remastered version of their best games, Masuda sees great potential in already famous Pokemon games of the past.

Over a number of years, Masuda and his colleagues have brought out the best of the Pokemon franchise and bridged the gap between the classic and the modern generations of consoles. This trend began with Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen in 2004, which saw its port from the classic GameBoy to GameBoy advanced.

The company continued this trend with Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver for the first Nintendo DS and OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire for 3DS.

In a talk with IGN, Matsuda stated that he thinks the remakes are still an approach the company is interested with. He also stated that with the Virtual Console releases of the original games, specifically there had never been a way to bring those Pokemon over to the latest generation.

The company had opted to make the immersiveness seamless, as users could use the cloud-based Pokemon Bank software and Poke Transporter application to transfer their beloved Pokemon in the Red and Blue re-releases to the current gen.

This had some emotional impact on youngsters who were relieved that their Pokemon friends were released from the confines of a plastic game cartridge.

Matsuda also stated that Pokemon Gold and Silver was not coming to the 3DS. He said that the 20th anniversary was the right time to release the original games. He stated that he wanted to give people the experience what was it like to see their Pokemon from the classic GameBoy in the Pokemon Sun and Moon.

The entire Pokemon fan world is waiting for a Diamond and Pearl remake to hit the stores soon. For now, people seem to be busy with the Pokemon Sun and Moon which is just around the corner.
