Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 is up and coming. It was announced that Madhouse will be taking over the anime series from Studio Pierrot. Fans of Touka Kirishima will also be excited to know that she'll be given the spotlight she wasn't able to enjoy the past season. In here her continuous struggle with college applications will reportedly be given a darker treatment.

Anime Maru claimed to have gotten a copy of season 3 episode 1. It went into details on how Touka feel so stressed out about having to choose among Kamii University, To-Oh University and Duke University in a monologue. There will also be some racial tensions in the United States and there was a noose found hanging at Duke. This made the fear of ghoul discrimination clearer than ever.

Meanwhile, newseveryday.com noted that there will be an introduction of a new character this coming season. This will be in the person of Hayes Sasaki. He was described as this guy who had black and white hair and worked as a ghoul investigator. Tokyo Ghoul fanatics quickly noticed the similarity of Sasaki with the main character Ken Kaneki from previous episodes. They look distinctly alike some claim they're one and the same. Actually, they are!

Sasaki is actually Kaneki from past season who is currently suffering from amnesia. This season will show the battle between Kaneki and Arima Kishou who is far stronger and power than him. Kishou defeated Kaneki and pierced his eyes using his weapon. That's how Kaneki acquired amnesia.

For those who are not familiar with Tokyo Ghoul, this follows the story of Ken Kaneki. He is a college student who has undergone surgery which turned him into a half-ghoul. He and other ghouls live in secret among humans. Ghouls eat human flesh for sustenance. Ghouls are quicker and stronger than normal human beings and have sharper senses. They also have the ability to regenerate quickly. There are also half-ghouls or hybrids that have implanted ghoul organs in them just like Kaneki. There are also those born from ghoul-human mating. Half ghouls are stronger than ghouls and some even got training from the government in order to fight ghoul threat.

Season 3 is set to air during the winter of 2016. For more of Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 air date, spoilers and latest news, keep it here on Counselheal. Hit us with your feedback in the comments below.
