The hashtag # justWWIthings is trending on Twitter according to the Battlefield 1 social media team. A tweet has been noticed with a caption 'when you are too hot for the club'. This caption is associated with an in-game soldier who is seen brandishing a flamethrower.

EA has been accused by the fans of being insensitive towards the victims of the war because of the hashtag. Fans opine that EA should not show disrespect to the war victims which claimed at least 17 million lives.

EA is ready to apologize for the Twitter campaign and any offense caused by the content within last 24 hours.

@Battlefield Twitter accounts state that the world war era was totally different from the game setup. It further states that the sensitivity of the world war cannot be explained through digital applications.

Since its launch, Battlefield 1 has been plagued by server issues. It is a fact that the EA servers went off several times affecting the likes of Battlefield 1, FIFA 17 and Titanfall 2.

Though EA was able to fix the issue on Sunday afternoon but the servers again went down for a third time on Monday. Hence many fans were left unhappy on Twitter.

Many of the fans could not play the game online even once so they are requesting for refunds.

Point to be noted is that the server issue has not at all harmed the sales of Battlefield 1 and this game has topped the UK gaming charts since the day of launch.

There is little doubt in confirming that Battlefield 1 has outsold EA shooter Titanfall 2 by an amount which is considerable.

It is also a fact that Battlefield 1 has players 10x the number of players than Titanfall 2 whereas the WWI shooter came out first.
