Space X Falcon 9 Explosion Still Not Solved

According to the latest news, Space X cleared that investigations into the explosion that took place on September 1 have narrowed down the fault to one of the three composite overwrapped pressure vessels inside the liquid oxygen tank.

 A Falcon 9 rocket was destroyed by this explosion. The Elon Musk owned company shall return back to the flight till the end of the year.

Space X is conducting an investigation into this incident with the help of Federal Aviation Administration, NASA, US Air Force and various other industry experts.

Investigators have worked through a fault tree so as to methodically arrive at the likely cause of the accident.

The tasting took place at the companies' facility in McGregor, Texas. It concluded that Composite overwrapped pressure vessel (COPVs) failure can be re-created entirely through helium loading conditions. The temperature and pressure of the helium, when loaded mainly, affects the conditions.

The exact cause of the breach in the cryogenic helium system is yet to be explored. Another area where Space X is focusing is to develop improved helium loading conditions and it will allow the company to load Falcon 9.

The launch site LC-4 in Cape Canaveral Florida suffered a lot of damage and presently this site cannot be used.

 The company is likely to return to flight in 2016 whereas the other launch sites at Kennedy Space center and Vandenberg Air Force base are on the track which shall be operational within this time frame.

The rocket that blew was on the launch pad when the incident occurred; it was almost ready for flight. It was for an Israeli company named Spacecom that the commercial flight was carrying an AMOS-6 communication satellite.

Space X is still working hard to know the real facts. The truth has yet not unfolded regarding the sole cause of the explosion. It may take few more days to reach up to the final conclusion.
