Apple's MacBook Pro update last happened in 2014. This year we have received two new 13 inches MacBook Pro models and a new 15-inch model.

The Magic Toolbar and an OLED display strip for context-sensitive commands are now a reality. Apple has named it as a Touch Bar which is 60 pixels high and 2170 pixels wide. This Touch bar can work across different apps, it can imitate series of touch buttons, it can control sliders and it is capable of controlling jog dials.

If you wish to adjust the brightness or the volume you can simply touch the bar. Everything is reinvented in this laptop like the file open, aluminum lids, keyboard and the touchpad.

The physical design is totally different. These laptops are thinner and lighter, though they cannot be compared with windows high-end laptops.

The 13-inch model is 14.9mm thick and the weight is 3 pounds. The 15-inch model is 15.5mm thick and its weight is 4 pounds. The earlier models of MacBook Pro were a bit thicker.

Apart from the traditional silver color, the new MacBook Pro comes in space gray color. It is cool to see the bold color.

RAM version is 2133 MHz which is faster and the built in solid storage is capable of transferring data faster that is 3.1 gigabytes per second. Display retina resolution has been retained and is brighter having a wider color range. The power consumption is 30% less.

Faster storage will be a key while transferring larger files. These laptops will have two USB- C ports on both sides in the beginning; the user might not understand these specks.

The prices of both these models may vary depending upon the storage capacity and currently the entry level 13 inch model is available in the market where as the touch screen versions will appear by November this year.
