Long overdue, the hit manga and anime series, 'Hunter X Hunter' Chapter 361 is expected to return in mid-2017, according to latest buzz.

Christian Today reported that the show's creator Yoshihiro Togashi, who has been ailing with a back pain, has sought help from his wife, Takeuchi to to take charge of the series. Like Togashi, Takeuchi is also a manga author and she is behind the highly successful, 'Sailor Moon' series.

There had been several rumors in the past suggesting Togashi being unable to put in long hours of work on the long impending chapters of 'Hunter X Hunter, owing to his back pain. However, if the latest rumor is to be believed, then with Takeuchi taking over the series, 'Hunter X Hunter' might finally return by mid-2017.

It is speculated 'Hunter X Hunter' Chapter 361 will take off from the last cliffhanging Chapter 360 of the series which ended with Kurapika investigating about the Nen user behind the killings on the ship. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see what will happen next since then.

It can be recalled that 'Hunter X Hunter' went on a long hiatus for two years after Sept. 2014 only to return back two years after in 2016. After it was announced that the series would once again go into a hiatus because of Togashi's back problems, rumors suggested that Viz media, the publisher of the manga series, hired a couple of writers to work on it. Togashi supposedly acted as a consultant on it, having the last word on the final product. However, rumors claim further that Togashi was not satisfied with the end result of the collaboration with the writers and decided to put the series on hold until he recuperated better.

There has been no official confirmation from Togashi's team as such that 'Hunter X Hunter' will be returning soon in mid-2017, but the latest rumor has rekindled hope in fans who thought that the hit series would be cancelled and not move ahead at all.
