NCIS: Los Angeles  season 8 spoilers might be hinting goodbye for one of its characters before season 8 ends. Could it be Kensi? With Kensi Blye's (Daniela Ruah) being in a coma, is it possible she'll be written off for good?

As a refresher, Kensi is in a coma because of a tragic incident. During the series' first few episodes of season 8, Kensi got into an accident. The team went to Syria on a mission to capture a high-profile target. They were on a chopper when they got spotted by a Syrian mercenary and got shot down. Everyone in the team was able to escape without so much as a scratch, except for Kensi. She was trapped under the debris and was flown back to the United States. From then on she deteriorated and slipped into a coma.

Who Will Be Gone For Good?

There was no improvement in Kensi's condition the past few episodes. This led to speculations that her character might indeed be written off soon. Even LL Cool J who plays Sam Hanna hinted and stated that someone's going to end up the dead which will lead to some changes. This led viewers wondering as to who's going to die in the upcoming episodes.

Per itechpost, the storyline is geared towards the possible demise of Kensi. She's continually deteriorating and show's no sign of getting better any time soon. Some are theorizing that she might not die, rather she'd simply slip into a long coma and be back by season 9. Added to that, Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) will also be added to the cast to fill in for Kensi.

Still, there seems to be a glimmer of hope that she'll be on her way to recovery eventually. Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) paid her a visit in the intensive care unit and asked Kenzi to give her hand a squeeze. She does this despite her condition. A good sign that she'll make it through the long haul. Right now, however, Daniela Ruah just gave birth to her baby daughter and is currently on maternity leave, this as stated by buddytv.com.
