Following the reported delay in the release date of Microsoft Surface Pro 5, more consumers might have become more eager if the wait will be worth it.

What upgrades and additional specs should they expect from the successor of Microsoft Surface Pro 4? Will the new laptop arrive before 2016 ends?

It can be recalled that previous reports claimed that the device was already coming in June since Microsoft was reportedly keen about competing with Apple head-on. This was based on the premise that the latter would introduce MacBook Pro 2016 during the Worldwide Developers Conference. However, that did not happen.

It is now October, and several speculations suggested that Apple may finally unveil its new MacBook Pro anytime soon. Will Microsoft offer the Surface Pro 5 model this month as well?

According to iDigital Times, this seems impossible. 

The fact that the Redmond-based tech giant has not shared any details about the highly-anticipated laptop, it only goes to show that its release date is not yet near, according to the tech site.

Aside from the absence of the official announcement from the company, it is also worth noting that there are no enough leaks, or even unofficial information, ever shared online about the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

In the meantime, iDigital Times cited in a separate report the specs they would like to see in the upgraded Surface Pro. 

First on the list is the improved battery life. Considering the fact that this particular concern was seen as the downside of the upcoming model's predecessor, consumers would like the American tech giant to finally address this.

Second, incorporating better gaming features would also make Microsoft Surface Pro 5 more competitive. The report pointed out that a number of PC games do not run on it.
