"Outlander" Season 3 has already started casting its actors and actresses, and many fans have been disappointed with the choices.

Notably, Australian actor David Berry was chosen for the cast of Lord John and now Starz is on the lookout for young Ian.  In an interview with executive producer Maril Davis, she told Zap2It that the role of young Ian is her next favorite character next to Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan).

Davis mentioned that Ian will be playing an important role in the upcoming season and as such, the production is looking for someone who will do justice to the role.

Meanwhile, it has also been speculated that the storyline of the upcoming season might deviate from "Voyager", the third book. The show would be a perfect mix of the book and its characters in reality, reported Parent Herald.

In other news, Catrina Balfe, the female cast of the show was seen working with World Child Cancer, to support the children suffering from cancer with better treatment and aid.

Balfe mentioned that the trip to Ghana on  World Child Cancer day in August  was an "eye - opener" for her.

"Awareness of cancer in Africa is so low that many children die without even being diagnosed. This is heart-breaking when you realize a course of treatment to cure a child can cost as little as £500," mentioned Balfe.

"I'm really honored to have been invited to Ghana, to meet so many inspirational children and to see World Child Cancer's work at first hand," she continued.

Thus, it seems that even Balfe is not behind her male co - stars in creating awareness for deadly diseases like cancer.

Presently, "Outlander" season 3 does not have a specific premiere date. Stay tuned to catch the latest news regarding the show.
