Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Leaks & Release Date: Video Shows Iris Scanner

Update Date: Jul 24, 2016 09:27 AM EDT

The first leaked video of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 showing an iris scanner, hinted that the latest smartphone, which will be launched in August 2016, could be the first one in the market with an enhanced security to unlock the phone.

An anonymous user posted the huge leak on Weibo and the video demonstrated the iris action for the Galaxy Note 7. This could mean that the Galaxy Note 7 could be one of the most impressive smartphones the world would ever see.

Techies and Galaxy Note users cannot wait to have their hands on the new Samsung smartphone with its unlocking power. The leaked video shows a man unlocking the phone in less than a second.
The iris unlocking feature in the leaked video have had fans running around asking what components Samsung will have on board, reported Mirror UK.

BGR revealed Galaxy Note 7’s top features taken from industry experts. The new smartphone will outfit 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 64 GB+ of storage, enough for techies who love taking photos and videos, especially with the microSDXC support that’s up to 2TB.

It also comes with Exynos 8893 processor or Snapdragon 821 processor, and techies said either is best depending on the region.

The Galaxy Note 7 may boast a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Users don’t have to worry browsing social media network or connect with friends while soaked in a bath tub with its IP68 dust and water resistance capability.

Another best feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the fingerprint scanner, a very convenient way to unlock a phone. The last spec, the Iris scanner may have just sealed the deal, making the smartphone the first in the market.

Mirror UK reported that Samsung is all set to launch the latest version of its large-screen Galaxy Note 7 smartphone on August 2. Samsung has apparently announced an “unpacked” event. The South Korean company also confirmed the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 7 through its official website.

"With added functionality of the S Pen and large screen, the Galaxy Note7 is a powerful instrument for achievement and self-expression, and is made for those who want to get the most from their phones – and their lives," Samsung wrote on its website.
