Uncharted 5 Release Date, Plot & Cheat Codes: Sony Promises To Be Better Than Uncharted 4
Rumors have surfaced that Sony may still continue the "Uncharted" franchise even without the backing of developer Naughty Dog. Thanks to the voice actor behind Nathan Drake, Nolan North, who has probably fanned the dying embers of a fifth installment for "Uncharted," according to Vulture.
"Depending on how much money this game makes, Sony might want to do another one with another studio. And I would certainly come back," the voice actor disclosed as he would be up for a fifth installment.
The tone of the world surrounding "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," has clearly been the last nail to the coffin of Nathan Drake's thrill-seeing travels. Especially with Naughty Dog being certainly done with the character at least as what they've pointed out on past reports.
Currently, Sony owns the IP rights to Uncharted, so with the massive success of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, there really is a possibility that Sony will be very much interested in making Uncharted 5 with another studio.
Despite this crossroad, Asad Qizilbash, the Senior Director of First Party Games SIEA was all praise and more for Naughty Dog in their astute graphics, according to Playstation Blog.
"Naughty Dog's exceptionally talented team has created magic once again, carefully constructing an adrenaline-pumping, thrilling, and beautifully written culmination to Nathan Drake's adventures. They truly outdid themselves," the CEO was quoted on the post.
The director then revealed that the game exceeded market expectations as it went beyond the "2.7 million units in global sales. It turns out that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has become the fastest selling first party PS4 game to make waves across shelves in North America.
The director then closed the post by thanking gamers for joining the team on Nathan Drake's final run. It seems like the success of the fourth installment was good enough for everyone on Naughty Dog's team.
