While, Samsung hasn't revealed anything about its next flagship Galaxy S8, rumors about Samsung Galaxy S8 specs, price and release date have already started hitting the web. If rumors are to be believed then Samsung's upcoming smartphone Galaxy S8, which is expected to get a 2017 release, will be a phone worth waiting for. The Galaxy S8 is rumored to feature a high-quality resolution and display, new design, and 5G connectivity, according to Breathecast.

Samsung's Galaxy S8 is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830 chip, a huge 1/1.7 image sensor, and a hi-res 4K/UHD display. The handset is rumored to be rolled out in two variants- the Galaxy S8 with a 5.1-inch display, and the Galaxy S8 Edge with a 5.5-inch screen.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to see the complete overhaul in its design language as compared to its predecessors. The next-generation Galaxy smartphone will be lighter, thinner and probably have more glass. The handset will have a superior touch finger sensor at the home button.

There are already rumors that the Galaxy S8 will come with a foldable design; it's being speculated that the S8 phone will have two joined displays that can be folded at the middle, according to iGalaxyS7.

The smartphone maker is also rumored to include the Clear Force Touch feature in its next flagship to counter Apple's 3D touch. The new feature will detect the pressure of the finger being applied on the handset's display and present different options.

It is expected that Samsung will use the latest android OS in the upcoming handset. The Galaxy S8 will get the next flagship chipset courtesy of the Snapdragon 830 and Exynos 9000. Apart from the processor, a 6GB of RAM will be incorporated in the Samsung Galaxy S8 as well as a USB type-C port that will allow for fast transfer of data.

As far as pricing of the upcoming handset is concerned, the Galaxy S8 is expected to retail for around $699 USD, according to Mobipicker.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge are rumored to be launched in the first half of 2017, with high probability on or prior to the Mobile World Congress in Feb. 2017.
