The latest update on the backward compatibility feature of the Microsoft's, Xbox One, suggests that it will support few more multi-disc games in the coming months. The technology giant is reportedly planning to release various games, which can be played on the gaming console because of the additional multi-disc option.

Tech Radar reported that new games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1, 2 and 3 will soon be made available on the gaming platform. Also, the first-person shooter game is expected to pave the path for other action games, which generally need multi-discs in order to function appropriately.

"The Modern Warfare Trilogy on Xbox One platform could prove a big draw to Call of Duty fans via backward compatibility feature," reported Express. "It could open the door for titles such as Mass Effect 2 and 3 to arrive, which are some of the most requested titles currently listed on Xbox's dedicated feedback page."

Further, there are reports that the Japanese role-playing video game, Lost Odyssey, might also be announced soon on the Xbox One gaming console.

In the meantime, Games Radar reported that the cyberpunk-themed action game, Deux Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut has been made available on the Xbox One console. Earlier, there were reports that the role-playing game would not be made available on the gaming platform as it was found difficult to switch between the required discs.

Later, a post on Reddit confirmed that the multi-disc games support was made available by the company. "I can confirm that the backward compatibility team has done work to support multi-disc scenarios," said Larry Hryb, as reported by IGN.

Besides, the spokesperson for Microsoft also hinted at the possibility that more games are on their way for the Xbox One console with backward compatibility and multi-disc feature. "We're continuing to listen to our fans on Xbox Feedback and work with our publishing partners to grow our library of Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles and will work to include more multi-disc games," said the representative, as reported by PC Magazine.

In addition to all the multi-disc support news, latest reports have revealed that few games have been added to the platform with backward compatibility feature. This list includes games like Sonic & Knuckles & Runner2, Dig Dug, Samurai Showdown II and Phantasy Star II. Also, few games like Halo 3: ODST, Crackdown 2 and SSX are scheduled to release in the month of June and July on Xbox One.
