The speculations that "The Winds Of Winter," the sixth book from the series of which "Game of Thrones" is based will finally hit the bookstores this May as recently generated by a lot of buzz from the author himself. Thanks to the "A Song of Ice and Fire" writer George R.R. Martin for once again making it certain to his readership that the final version of the book will not be taking long as there are no longer any problems with the upcoming publication, as he even had to call off a few essential appointment, according to Ecumenical News, in order for him to focus his attention on the writing.

"I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish," the author mentioned to Entertainment Weekly via the website. "But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done," Martin confessed.

The main storyline for "The Winds of Winter" is said to further move away from the existing small screen plot of the HBO series as their won't essentially be a coming together of characters from the TV series and the book. For starters, Stannis Baratheon and Tyrion Lannister will both heavily play a valiant struggle in the pages unlike the "Game of Thrones" series that has a revived Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen taking the center stage.

Such a development may actually benefit the television audience as they are now cut-off from spoilers triggered by the novels. However, predictions for the "Game of Thrones" series have already surfaced as mentioned in Bustle which included the broken-up and troubled family of the Greyjoys.

The House from the Iron Islands is rumored to give a reintroduction Euron Crow's Eye and Victarion as Theon Greyjoy continues to languish as Reek.
