MacBook to Receive Siri Functionality

Siri on iPhones has improved significantly over the last few years. The intelligent personal assistant by Apple has so far been only available on iOS and has been absent on Mac, even though the functionality is available on Apple TV and Apple Watch. However, now the new release of OS X, Siri will finally make it Mac as well, thus covering all the products of Apple, says BGR

As reported by 9to5Mac, Siri is all set to debut in the latest offering of OS X 10.12, the flagship update of the year. It would be wrong to say that Apple has been ignoring it on Mac when the company has been testing it for the last three years, just to get its implementation right. For mac users, there will be a Siri button integrated into the menu bar that will activate the virtual assistant when clicked. You can also configure a keyboard shortcut to activate Siri. In fact, when connected to power, Mac too will have the "hey Siri" feature.

It goes without saying that Apple has always centered its attention at making its iPhones better. It is refreshing to see that the Mac lineup is also finally getting the attention it deserves. Even though OS X has received quite a few new features, there is nothing that can be called exciting so far, according to Yahoo News

While OS X Yosemite and OS X El Capitan were amazing updates, they still didn't bring too much on the table, as far as features were concerned.

Now that Mac is finally getting Siri support, it is good to see that Apple is finally paying more attention to make its Mac lineup more exciting. Even though the specs have improved reasonably, there have been no compelling software upgrades to take advantage of the increased power in each upgraded model of Mac, as reported by Yahoo News
