According to Ming-Chi Kuo, trusted KGI securities Analyst, Apple needs to bring home some upgrades in their MacBook lineup to fuel growth. Even though the PC market has suffered overall, MacBook has witnessed steady growth, especially in the business sector. With their upgraded models, the company can expect to spearhead growth with their new MacBook expected to be released in 2016. According to the report, Kuo believes that new MacBook model should be launched in June and the new device will accelerate the sales and growth for the company this year. "Sunday's report was the well-connected insider's first indication that new MacBooks will arrive in the first half of the year," notes Apple Insider.

There is no detailed information provided by Kuo about the models and if they will get any upgrades or not. However, a new model of MacBook Air is expected to give higher-resolution retina display. Apple is also working to get Intel's SkyLake processors that will equip the new MacBook with a new CPU. SkyLake will make the MacBook's performance increase by 20% faster CPU speeds and 41% faster inbuilt graphics chips. SkyLake processors will also improve the battery life that increase to as much as 30% for the MacBook.

If the new MacBooks are indeed slated for a June release, then they will be expected to be unveiled in 2016 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) that is set to happen between 13th and 17th June, says Tech Viral

As per Korea Portal, in its June release, there is a fair chance that new OS X update will also be revealed and a MacBook refresh is also expected to happen around the same time. Other things to look forward to 2016 MacBook Pro is upgraded speed of 2.8GHz from an entry level processor of 2.7GHz. It will also include 8GB RAM upgrade for its 13-inch model and 16GB RAM for the 15-inch model.
