'Boxer' Russian Doctor Knocks Patient Dead With Single Blow [Video]

A doctor Russia allegedly killed a patient with a single punch. The incident was caught on camera and has prompted an investigation against the medic.

According to BBC, the incident occurred on December 29 last year in Belgorod, around 440 miles south of Moscow. The doctor, identified as Ilya Zelendinov, is seen shoving a patient and then attacking another who accompanied the patient. Later, he lands a blow on the patient, identified as 56-year-old Yevgeniy Bakhtin, who collapses to the ground. The video which went viral showed that efforts to revive the patient prove unsuccessful. Dubbed the boxer doctor, the attacker is also seen trying to revive the patient.

New York Daily News reports that the enraged doctor attacked patient for allegedly troubling a nurse earlier. Other reports claimed the patient kicked the nurse. In the video, the boxer doctor barges in, accompanied by the nurse who points out the patient to him. The doctor thunders 'you touched my nurse?' before launching the offense.

The doctor was reportedly fired from service and a criminal investigation has been launched. RT reports that the cause of death was identified as trauma to the skull after it hit a hard surface. If guilty, the doctor faces a two-year prison term for involuntary manslaughter.
