Millennial moms are consumed, 24/7, by various forms of media no matter where they are or what they are doing.

Twelve percent of these mome use their smartphone during sex, and twenty one percent of them bring their phones to the toilet, too, according to "Moms & Media 2," a survey by Meredith Parents Network. The survey involved a national representative sample of more than 1,000 mothers born between 1977 and 1994.

"Today's moms are media omnivores," Carey Witmer, president of Meredith Parents Network said in a statement. "Controlling their voracious diet is so important to them that they are constantly creating new rules about how and when media intermingles with their busy lives via their various devices, screens and networks."

It was found that more than 80 percent of these moms use Facebook and 44 percent say they keep Facebook open on their computers all day though 57 percent said the social network is a waste of time.

Ninety six percent of respondents say it's important to control who sees their personal information on Facebook.

And eighty one percent said shopping was the No. 1 way they use their smartphone. They have some 13 apps, with many moms saying less than half are for their children.

It was also found that streaming television online is on the rise, with 23 percent of respondents doing.

In addition, the report revealed that 36 percent of moms watch programs on digital video recorders (DVR), and 84 percent avoid commercials when watching live television.
