Facebook has started a new partnership with Uber in order to integrate the "ride-hailing" app's traits into its Messenger. It will enable customers to ask for a ride even without dropping out of a Facebook conversation or exchange with close friends or relatives.

Hence, Uber has become the first partner for the Messenger Transportation app. It will be accessible to a few users in places where Uber is operational in the U.S., says a blog post by Facebook.

Facebook can now secure its Messenger app users even as it offers Uber the access required to gain customers. It will enable Uber to overshoot its competitors.

Hence, the two most powerful tech start-ups will come together as Facebook is valued at $300 billion and Uber at $62 billion, according to USA Today.

In order to approach the new technique, the users will be required to download Messenger's updated version. Its menu will include a "transportation" button.

By searching for Uber, users can click on the car icon to call a taxi. The Messenger will convey the driver's status updates and also give you the option to inform your friends that you are on your way, says ABC News.

The Messenger app was included in Facebook last year. It is trying to "boost the app's appeal through this partnership with Uber", according to HNGN.
