Did Microsoft's long-rumored Surface Mobile surface online? New reports claim a test phone may have accessed a benchmarking site when it was spotted.

According to GSM Arena, a Windows 10 mobile with the name Microsoft Surface Phone accessed the website HTML5test. The phone was said to be running Edge 12, Microsoft's browser and scored 401 points in the benchmark tests. The test also showed that the phone boasted a 640x360 resolution which GSM Arena hypothesized could be a prototype being tested at varying resolutions.

Citing past studies, NDTV reported that Microsoft's Surface Mobile was codenamed Project Juggernaut Alpha, with an Intel Atom processor, 4 GB RAM and a high resolution 21 MP camera that would have placed in the high-end category.

Rumors of a Surface mobile have been doing rounds ever since Surface tablet's fortunes turned for the good. Surface Pro 3 proved to be turning and in less than a year established Surface as a brand to reckon with. Surface Pro 4 was launched a few months ago.
