Japanese Woman Spends $100K on Extreme Plastic Surgery to Become a French Doll

A Japanese woman has spent around 10 million yen or $102,000 on more than 30 plastic surgery procedures to look like a living French doll.

The model, known as Vanilla Chamu, said that she will keep undergoing cosmetic procedures to acheive her ideal look.

Photographs posted on Buzzfeed of Vanilla before her radical surgical transformation reveal an ordinary, demure-looking Japanese teenager whose facial features are completely unrecognizable from her "Western" look today.

Vanilla started undergoing operations to look more European when she was just 19, according to the Daily Mail. Since then, Vanilla has undergone more than 30 cosmetic procedures including double eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, liposuction, eyelash implants, dimple creation, and breast implants.

However, Vanilla still isn't satisfied with her current look. According to the Daily Mail, she has recently gone under the knife to get even larger breast implants and plans to undergo height-lengthening surgery.

Vanilla, who keeps her current age a secret, has become somewhat of a celebrity in Japan, appearing in countess television shows and launching a pop career.

Interestingly, Vanilla isn't alone in her quest to become a living doll. Vanilla is part of a wider Japanese "Lolita" fashion trend, where adolescent girls want to look like popular anime characters.
